Rob (2012)

Very Funny
You have Cheech Marin and Rob Schneider both on the same sitcom which only adds up to hillarious comedy. A must have to any collection.I would compare this comedy to Roseanne or Married With Children as far as funny goes, but in a different way.Rob is to say the least a little quirky rescently married to a younger hot Spanish woman with her entire family near by and knowing almost everything that goes on and still seem to all get along.

Gone too soon!
This was a very funny show. Probably not a politically correct one, but Rob is very good at physical comedy and a funny look at the differences culture can make in a relationship. Cheech Marin as usual is hilarious!

Rob! The Series That Should Have Not Been Cancelled.
I gave Rob! four stars out of five, as I felt there were not enough episodes. This sitcom was cancelled way too early and should have been given enough of a chance to further develop its characters. It would have been nice to seen this series continue and see Maggie and Rob eventually raise a child together with the help of his mexican inlaws and the cross-culture battle that could have resulted to drive Rob nuts! Overall, this was a good sit-com with signs of potiential. The playback quality of the DVD was exceptional with good resolution and sound. For those who require multi-language options such as Spanish or French, that feature was not available on this DVD.

NYC 22 (2012)

This was an interesting show. I ordered this because Robert DeNiro was one of the executive producers on this show.
I enjoyed this show very much because I like cop shows. Also, this show reminded me a little bit of NYPD Blue because it focused on all of the characters and not just one character.

Good acting and good stories
We watched every episode of this show and thoroughly enjoyed all of them. The actors were likable and the story lines were very satisfying.

The Best of Kids Say the Darndest Things, Vol. 3 (1952-1969)

Two hours of "oh-ohs" and laughs.
This is volume three (of three) from TIME/LIFE.
This one runs two hours, two minutes. IT is chapter-stopped
with 23 five-and-a-half (+/-) minute segments from a CBS
series "HOUSE PARTY" that was hosted by ART LINKLETTER.
At my age -- I'm 64 this year -- I must have seen this show
whenever I was sick or playing hooky from school, but the
only part of the show I remember was this segment; which
has been collected from 23 episodes.

From the children's comments of politics and other things, I'd
guess most of the shows are from 1966 through 1969, and,
therefore, are in color.

I enjoyed this collection, and will get the other two volumes,
however, it'll be cheaper to just get them used as I probably
won't watch them more than once or twice... until my memory
fails.

Someone --- I think it was Paul Mular --- said it's difficult to
watch them all back-to-back. True. It's sorta like trying to...

The Best of Kids Say the Darndest Things, Vol. 2 (1952-1969)

Hey it's got kids answering life questions..always funny
Use to watch this on tv a kid. Never realized the commercials in every segment but is always fun to watch the old stuff and remember how untainted the kids were then.

Volume Two.
There are two-hour programs that comprise a three volume set.

This one is VOLUME TWO.

I don't have this one -- I have the other two.

Well, anyway, there are two-dozen 5-minute segments removed from Art Linkletter's
((People Are Funny (16 Episodes on 3 Discs))) OTHER show, "HOUSE PARTY".

The children in the segments are from 4 to 12 years old, but --- usually --- are under ten.
The show's producer isn't stupid; older children TRY to be funny, little kids A=R=E funny!

I recommend that you ---- since the program is chapter-stopped ---- watch about five or six segments, daily. Too
much of a GOOD thing --- like a book on your nightstand --- will just put you to sleep.

Very enjoyable... IN d-i-g-e-s-t-a-b-l-e amounts; ever eat T=W=O bananna splits? Too many episode segments
won't make you FAT, but, you COULD be CUTE-ed to death...

The Best of Kids Say the Darndest Things, Vol. 1 (1952-1969)

Childhood Memories
I enjoyed watching this DVD - it brought back memories of watching the "House Party" TV show with my mom back in the 60's - probably on school vacation days. I don't really remember what the rest of the "House Party" show was about but the 'Kids Say the Darnest Things' segment was what I tuned in for. This DVD is funny although somewhat repetitious but even my teenager got a kick out of the DVD. Seeing the prizes the kids received was interesting too - a trip down memory lane.

Art is still the best!
After playing this entire dvd, I must say I was charmed by Art, and his little talkers as well. Harking back to a simpler, more cordial time on Television, I highly recommend this example of what TV should strive to be: fun, yet mannerly, and containing a shining example of what a host SHOULD be on a talk forum--a listener, and not trying to take everything and make a one-line joke out of it, basically to be a good listener with a minimal ego. YOU HEAR THAT DAVID, JAY, CONAN, etc??? You will thoroughly enjoy this step-back with a fantastic gentleman host-Art Linkletter. I certainly hope they will produce many more of these, and I shall order them all too.

Not the B&W show, but segments from 1968's HOUSE PARTY.
The year is 1968, the show is ART LINKLETTER'S HOUSE PARTY, and 'housewives' everywhere tuned in every afternoon to watch their favorite segment of that show called "Kids Say The Darndest Things".

If the above introduction to this review bothers your political correctness you may have some problems with this dated show. Girls are given seperate toys from the boys and have different expectations. Minorities are limited to a few Asian kids, Art & the audience laugh at one boy's bowl-haircut "Your Mom cuts your hair!". You will cringe when two seperate clips have Art asking the kids "Who would you rather get spanked by?", one child replies "My grandmother, because by Dad & Mon use a belt". That does bring an 'oh-boy' on Art's face but he moves on.

I did find the first 30 minutes very amusing, but then the remaining 90 minutes became routine with some bright moments. I found myself working on projects while listening to the show as a distraction.

I seem to...

Cannon Season 3 (1973-1974)

Great series, deserves a better release
This is an outstanding TV show, part of the Quinn Martin canon (pardon the pun) of detective/cop shows from the 70s. My only complaint is with the picture/sound quality. Like the previous 2 seasons, the image is somewhat murky and faded, like a 16 mm print. I don't know whether the master reels still exist or not, but the source of these releases seems to be inferior syndication prints (who knows what generation?). The soundtrack also sounds worn out and patchy at times. Could they have remastered these episodes to make them as pristine as, say, Streets of San Francisco, Barnaby Jones, Hawaii 5-0? Not sure what the answer to that is, but I find the discrepancy in quality between Cannon and these other shows to be rather odd. I didn't have any issues with skipping or freezing, I'm happy to say (though I still have a couple of discs yet to watch). I have no trouble in recommending this release to fans of 70s detective shows, however, lower your expectations regarding picture and...

Much better than nothing....
I've purchased the other sets and agree that the quality is not the best, but it's pretty decent, and fact is, that given the times we live, it's not likely that sets like these will be produced in the numbers needed to make a profit while selling them at a low cost. I will buy this set and enjoy it for what it brought to me many years back when I used to watch Cannon, Monday nights at 8:00pm in Puerto Rico...BTW: back then the series was shown in Spanish..with no titles! Every episode, a cliffhanger, with all the suspense and smarts that a well developed script ought to have: These days...practically non-existent. Thanks for putting this great set out, and I look forward for more seasons ahead. I look forward to opening the set and watching episodes Monday night at 8:00pm, this time without my parents telling me it was time to turn off the TV and finish my homework.

One of the best detective shows EVER!
I am already 50 years old and I faintly remembered liking this series when it made its' original run in the '70's. When the first season was released on DVD a few years ago, I purchased it hoping it was as good as I remembered it to be. I wasn't dissappointed. William Conrad was a "Top Shelf" actor with a destinctive, one-of-a-kind voice. I now have the first and second season and I'm extremely happy that season number three is coming out. I only hope that all 5 seasons will be realeased before too long.
