Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt: The Complete Series [Blu-ray]

Such great voice acting and extras!!!
I received my copy 2 weeks early from rightstuf.com. They really got the right people to voice the characters. Love all the extras that came with the dvd box set including a heaven coin & 8 extra short mini episodes that were weird with a mixture of gross to say the least. The dvd art along with the nice art on each dvd case along with the extras and the awesome job the VAs did with the voices made this box set worth the $38.99 for me.

Watching the subtitled version so many times before this came out; I'm glad I can finally enjoy the episodes in english because of such excellent voice acting, which is very rare in anime.

If you're a Panty & Stocking with Garterbelt fan get this set! it's worth it!

Anarchy in Daten City
Move over, Kei and Yuri, the dirtiest pair of all have arrived and they are not messing around. "Panty and Stocking with Garter Belt" (PSG for short) is a madcap exercise in obscenity and hilarity that uses and abuses a semi-American kiddie animation style (think The Powerpuff Girls or My Little Pony Friendship Is Magic) to increase it's own patent offensiveness. Panty and Stocking are the first names of the Anarchy sisters, fallen angels who are trying to buy their way back into Heaven by defeating earthly ghosts using weapons formed out of their undergarments. Garterbelt is the perverse afro-priest who plays the Charlie to their angels. And they are all majorly effed up. This is an anime for those of you with a truly sick sense of humor. Profanity flies profusely from the mouths of these characters in both English and Japanese (often in...

Made for the Military
This is a sure fire way to get any guy hooked on anime. Swearing, adult themes, and violence all screem perfection. I showed this to some of my marine buddies and they loved it. These chicks swear worse than sailors, and kick more tail than marines. What more do we want?

Shakugan no Shana S: OVA Series (Blu-ray/DVD Combo)

(3.5 Stars) "Shakugan no Shana S: OVA Series" features four episodes about how Shana has been affected by living among humans.
In 2002, Yashichiro Takahashi and illustrator Noizi Ito created the Japanese light novel series "Shana".

Published by ASCII Media Works from 2002 through 2011, the light novel series would receive two manga adaptations serialized in "Dengeki Daioh" and "Dengeki Maioh" and in 2005-2006, a PS2 and Nintendo DS video game and would also receive an anime series adaptation by J.C. Staff in 2007-2008 and a movie released in 2007.

A second season titled "Shakugan no Shana Second" was aired in 2007-2008, followed by a four-episode OVA in 2009-2010 and most recently, a third season titled "Shakugan no Shana Final" airing in 2011-2012.

With FUNimation releasing the first two seasons and the animated film on Blu-ray and DVD, the anime company released the four-episode OVA "Shakugan no Shana S: OVA Series" on Blu-ray in January 2013.

"Shakugan no Shana S" features four OVA's with individual storylines that were released four months apart.

True To The Spirit Of Season 2
Shana and Yuji have been through a lot together, but for some reason she is avoiding him. Wilhelmina also notices Shana's odd behavior. Wilhelmina and Yuji are determined to get to the bottom of it. They snoop around and try to get answers from friends, but everyone is in on it. Ogata, Yoshida, Tanaka, Sato, Marjorie, and even Ikei seem to be keeping Shana's secret. Wilhelmina and Yuji think something ig is about to happen, but they may be mistaken.

In another episode, Yuji finds a treasure that causes him to switch bodies with Shana. The 2 of them must find a way to switch bodies again before anyone notices. The treasure has a secret that would cause their body swap to become startling news if it was discovered. The last 2 episodes are a prequel to the first season. It covers a time when Shana was still taking the places of dead humans and had no social skills. They are actually a pretty touching little divergence.

This OVA was pretty much what I expected. These...

Baka & Test: Summon The Beasts Season Two (Limited Edition Blu-ray/DVD Combo)

The second season is wild, crazy and even perverted at times..
In 2007, "Baka to Test to Shokanju" (Baka and Test) was created by Kenji Inoue. Featured as a light novel series and featuring the illustrations by Yui Haga, a total of 12 volumes have been printed thus far and a manga adaptation by Mosuke Mattaku began in 2009 in the magazine "Shonen Ace" and also on "Famitsu Comic Clear".

An anime adaptation began in 2010 and a second season which aired in Japan in July 2011. And with the first season released in America on Blu-ray/DVD back in 2011, the second season will now be released by FUNimation in January 2013.

The anime series features animation production from Silver Link and the previous staff from the first season which includes director Shin Oonuma ("Mahou Sensei Negima!", "Pani Poni Dash!"), screenplay by Katsuhiko Takayama ("Cat Planet Cuties", "ef: a tale of melodies", "Fullmetal Alchemist", "Ga-Rei-Zero"), music by Nijine ("Akikan", "Hatsukoi Limited", "Idolm@ster: Xenoglossia"), character designs by Miwa Oshima...

Finally, the Second Season to my favorite comedy release of last year is here!
Baka and Test: Summon the Beasts is a Comedy, Romance, Slice-of-Life Anime of the highest caliber. Wonderful Dub, Solid Features, and in terms of the show: Stellar Presentation.

To start off, I'd like to comment that my investment in Baka and Test actually spans a whole year and a month from when I first watched it, and I decided with my good friend that I showed it afterwards that we would wait for the season 2 dub. Well, the wait is over... AND IT WAS WORTH IT! Here are some special features of the release you should expect:

> Two commentaries (episode 3 and 13. This is a far better amount compared to Season One's... no commentaries)
> Nine shorts on the "Spinout" series (think of this as a bunch of shorts, like last season)
> Typical Anime Feature Standards (Textless opening and endings, English and Japanese Audio w/ subtitles...)

Sadly, the OVAs are released in a separate collection. Strange too, since there are only two of them (why you...

It's Really Growing On Me
Season 2 picks up right where season 1 left off. The first time I watched Baka and Test, I was a little let down. I watched a couple more times, and I really liked it. It's a lot of fun. Season 2 is pretty much just about the guys of class F trying to peep on the girls' changing room and bath. It's kind of odd that an entire season of this show is dedicated to that single purpose, but it's still really fun. There are a couple background episodes for the main characters. Season 2 is a little better than the first one. The animation, voice acting, and soundtrack are all still really good. I think that they are gonna continue this series even further. I hope they do. It's a lot of fun to watch. I think that it's a safe bet for most anime fans. The language is moderate, and there isn't any nudity. So 14 and up is a good rating. I highly recommend it.
